How can I check availability?

Each property has a calendar; all days that are shaded in green are available. Dates marked in other Colors are reserved. You can see an idea of rates if you move your cursor over the dates you are interested in, the rate will show up on the Weekly price indicator box just to the right of the calander. But it is better to do a full enquiry, follow the instructions in the next paragraph, and it will show you the price including discounts etc.

How Can I make a booking?

Firstly go to the property that you want to book, go to the availability calander for the property, click on the date you want to arrive, then click on the date you want to depart, then click on the number of people in your group, and press continue, this will lead you to another page, where you will see the total price, less deductions for long stay, early booking, and cancellations.

If you would like to go ahead and reserved click the continue button on the bottom of the page, and this will bring you to a sign in page, where you put in your e mail address and a password ( that you will remember ), then you fill in all your details, the guests names etc, and continue to confirm reservation.

You will get an e mail which will prompt you to log on with your email address and password, here you log on and pay your booking deposit, you will be directed to a secure server, where you give your card details, and pay the initial deposit. After this you will receive a full confirmation. A few weeks before you are due to arrive you will get another e mail asking you to log in again and pay the Balance; you log on again and pay the balance.

I have a Discount Code, how do I use it ?

If you are a previous Guest who is returning and you have a Discount Code or if you have received a Discount Code as part of a promotion, follow these steps.

Firstly go to the property that you want to book, go to the availability page for the property, click on the date you want to arrive, then click on the date you want to depart, then click on the number of people in your group, and press continue, this will lead you to another page, where you will see the total price, less deductions for long stay, early booking, and cancellations. At the top of this page the is a box for Special Discount Codes, type the exact Code you have in and press REFRESH button, and you should see the discount and a new amount which was the previous amount less the discount. Then Continue as in the above paragraph.

When I try to make a booking for 4 / 5 days, the system tells me I have to Book a full week?

During the main season, we only do full weeks, this is our peak time when we sell every house no problem, this is nothing personal, it is just business, as we are in a seasonal region so we have to sell by the week, you can book a full week, and only stay for 4 or 5 days, or why don’t you try and get more time off work or change your travel plans. I am trying to make a booking and want to leave on a different Day to Saturday, the system will not leave me depart on a Friday?

During the main season we sell Saturday to Saturday, so if you have to depart on a Friday, because of travel arrangements etc. The system will not allow you to reserve, the best thing to do is book the Saturday to Saturday, as the prices is the same as Saturday to Friday.

Is the kenmarerentals.com a secure site, I am afraid to reserve a house as I cannot see a Security Certificate, showing me the site is secure?

The Kenmarerentals.com site is not a secure site, but you do not need to worry. When you go to the Kenmarerentals site all you are doing is getting information about the house, availability, and price you want to reserve. When you make the reservation you will be asked to log onto a secure site where you leave your credit card details, and pay your deposit to confirm the reservation and all the information is processed securely, so you do not need to worry.

I made a reservation and logged onto the system and put my information in, but I did not receive and e mail to confirm what had happened?

By mistake you might have put in the wrong email address. Email me at reservations@kenmarerentals.com and I will log onto the system and check your information, and will let you know how to proceed.

I have made a reservation, and keep getting an e mail saying I have to pay my booking deposit, I cannot log onto the system can you help ?

No problem, if you e mail me at reservations@kenmarerentals.com and I will email you back instructions of how to use the system, the only thing I cannot do is give you your password, as I cannot see this on the system.

I do not like reserving or buying over the internet. What can I do to reserve a house?

The best thing to do is check the availability and the price of the house you are interested in. If you want to proceed give me a call, and we can arrange to do an off line transaction. But let’s say for example the house is reserved between when you see the details and when you contact me, I cannot be held responsible for this as this is something beyond my control. What other Charges are there when I reserved a house?

The price displayed in the web site is for the house for the week, all laundry and final cleaning is included. The only other charge is for electricity, gas / oil all which are metered and you only pay for what you use. So the less you use the less you pay. We charge what we are charged for each unit. The only other possible charge is if you break something, but hopefully this will not happen.

The Reservation system is a separate system we use, this is provided by a third party. We have used this system for a number of reasons, firstly it is one of the easiest and most reliable. Secondly it is secure. So when you pay your booking deposit, you log onto a secure system and pay your deposit, and a few weeks before your holiday is due to commence you get another email saying log on and pay the balance. You pay when you want to pay. The system does not simply take payment once you have given your card details as and when it pleases.
